The Earliest Photographs of Europe (1839-1845)

A collection of the earliest outdoor photographs with people in them taken in Europe in the early 1840's. All of the photographs are either daguerreotypes or salt paper prints from calotype negatives.

The most wellknown photograph is Louis Daguerre's 1839 daguerreotype view of a man getting his shoes shined and other people on Boulevard du Temple in Paris. This one is so common that Chubachus skipped it  Much obliged: Chubachus
